"What Is JKT48"

We want to create a place for Indonesian women to realize their dreams. Together with the fans, we want to create the only "Original Indonesian Idol". This is the main inspiration we launched JKT48.

All JKT48 members will fight to reach their goal of becoming real idols. For that, they will be highly dedicated to their activities. Not only singing and dancing, but also other talents or performances. Come on, come and watch the members struggle hard to realize their dreams. AKB48 can be successful because it grows "together" with fans so they can reach the position they are today. We want JKT48 to follow in the footsteps of AKB48 to become an idol group that is close to its fans and also build a close relationship with them. We believe that the support of the fans will take JKT48 to a higher level, starting from the idol group based in Jakarta to become known throughout the world.

"What Is AKB48"
AKB48
AKB48 is an idol group produced by lyricist Akimoto Yasushi and debuted in December 2005. The concept is "an idol that can be found". The unique thing about AKB48 Project is that fans can feel the process of developing their idols.

AKB48 has its own theater in Akihabara, Tokyo. Even though they have become a top idol, even now they continue to perform in the theater every day.

Members are selected through an audition process where participants come from all over the country. At present a team A, team K, team B and trainees have been formed.

When releasing a single CD, there was a selection of all members, including members of the sister group. Those chosen are called "Senbatu Members" and will sing the single.

Their popularity is not only within their own country, but also abroad. They have held shows in various places throughout the world such as Paris, New York, Cannes, Los Angeles, South Korea, Macau, Singapore, Moscow, Taiwan, Shanghai, Jakarta, and Washington DC.

In Japan, every new song they release always sells millions of copies. And as the most popular idol group in Japan, they regularly appear in various media such as television, radio, and magazines. While still making an appearance in the theater as a base, they also continue to develop their wings.
